Lotus Sonny (2012)

Sixteen year old Sonny shelters an insecurity about sex that has been planted by overprotective parents and baulks when his girlfriend Kathleen tries to initiate sex for the first time. Fuelled by the fear he'll lose Kathleen and the urge to reconcile his conservative parents' rules with his own impending sexual awakening Sonny retreats into an inner world that revolves around Nadine, a mysterious older woman who lives in the neighborhood. Within this inner world Sonny begins to explore new emotions and dynamics that hold the key to an empowerment that can help him win Kathleen back.
