Widespread Panic has always made Colorado their home away from home. With their all-acoustic Wood Tour the band crafted an intimate living room-like performance on this Saturday night at The Fillmore in Denver. Under The Fillmore's purple chandeliers, the band deliver two sets of magical playing. The first set closes with Howlin' Wolf's blues classic Tail Dragger and a barrelhouse version of Tall Boy. For the second set the band delivers a powerhouse from start to finish with warhorses such as C.Brown, Mercy, Jack, Driving Song, Papa's Home and Ribs and Whiskey reworked for the acoustic format. The band wouldn't let the crowd leave without an epic encore that mixed classics from Van Morrison and Neil Young with their first ever performance of the Roger Miller hit Dang Me. Complete song listing from the film: First Set: Henry Parsons Died, Heaven, Tickle the Truth, Shut Up And Drive, Aunt Avis, Help Me Somebody, Saint Ex, Let's Get The Show On The Road, Tail Dragger, Tall Boy. Second Set: Fishing, C. Brown, Papa Johnny Road, Mercy, Jack, Ride Me High, Driving Song, Papa's Home, Driving Song, Breathing Slow, Ribs And Whiskey. Encore: Dang Me, And It Stoned Me, Mr. Soul. The filmmakers chose to archive this historic performance using RED Digital Cinema cameras, the same ones used for major motion picture releases. These cameras captured the performances in rich 4K resolution, providing the viewer with superior picture quality to 35mm. Specific lenses were chosen to best convey the artistic nature of the material. To achieve the true live concert sound, the audio was digitally recorded with a stereo mix combining the front of house mixing console with microphones placed throughout the room. You'll see, hear, and feel the difference.
