De l'autre côté de la route (2011)

One night, Colette sees from her window a large fire on the ground on the other side of the road. The next day, she hears the sound of hammers and sees huts growing between the trees. Curious, she decides to cross the road towards those strange inhabitants. She is welcomed by a Gypsy family from Romania. Gradually, Colette binds deeply with Eva, Sami and their two children. Despite their precarious situation, she believes in their great abilities and wants that to be known. She decides to convince people of her town, neighbors and elected representative, to cross also the road. Step by step, The family's life improves, but unfortunately the police intervention puts an end to their hopes and dreams. All seems lost, and yet everything is still possible.
