Skin

An experimental, semi-narrative short film integrating live action with animation and sound scape audio, Skin depicts the meeting of two unlikely characters: a pastor and an artist. The pastor serves in a church with iconography that the artist has been sketching and photographing to provide subject matter for his paintings. The artist delivers a calling card with only a motif that looks like a sunburst or a crown of thorns. The pastor tracks the artist down in his studio, where the artist's motifs lift from the walls and begin to interact with religious symbols representing the pastor. The living symbols represent the struggle and internal conflict experienced by many followers of the world's most powerful religions.
