The Broken Shore (2013)

Some sex references but no scenes of sex.

A woman spontaneously kisses protagonist on an impulse. There is a later implied sex scene and a post-coital scene between this couple; small amount of male nudity, non-explicit. The protagonist catches an adult male inside a van undressed with an underage teenage black girl.

Scenes involving violence are few and far between, most of it is implied or taken place off-screen with exception to a few times.

One is slashed across the back and hit in the head.

One is shot but you don't see him be shot; he lies bloody on the floor, shot in the abdomen, next to a pool of blood. The protagonist is knocked out from behind; he is also slashed in the back with a box cutter badly cutting him. A man is heard screaming as a man tortures him with a heated rod. And body is found in the ocean having drowned with implications of murder. Another body is found crucified hanging in a theater; torture murder is implied.

Some may find the references to child sexual abuse upsetting. While it doesn't go into detail, it is still upsetting nonetheless.

Some may find the flashbacks to a fire upsetting. Three burned bodies of children are seen in crime photos.

Some may find the flashbacks to the dead body laying with blood on upsetting. Protagonist has hallucination of a dead bloody man lying in bed with him.
