"A Chacun son Cinéma" is a documentary about the actor (and the cinema) which bears witness to the fascination this profession exerts over a number of people from very different backgrounds. Beginners and veteran actors, those who have no experience and those who have to fight every day in order to realize their dream, are given a chance to speak. What are their hopes, their fears, their disillusions? What are the elements of that bizarre alchemy which feeds the passion to act, and produces somebody else's dream? What are the problems and the satisfactions of those involved? The makers have tried to discover the child behind the actor's mask.
