Stepping on the Flying Grass (2012)

Assigned by their teacher to write an essay about their most cherished dream, four young friends in rural Indonesia each take a different approach to their assignment. Class representative Jono wants to be a soldier when he grows up, and practices by playing war games in his backyard. Mey wants to be a famous actress, and works on her smile in front of the mirror as her stage mother looks on. Puji dreams about helping others, while Agus, whose family doesn't have a wide variety of food at home, wants nothing more than to eat at an authentic Padang restaurant in the city - and when an opportunity arises to earn some money, he sets out to make his dream come true.
