I Am a Big Ball of Sadness (2013)

Set at a swanky New York City roof-top party three party guests chat before the guest of honor arrives. Two of the guests full of pretense condescend to the third, younger member talking to them at the party. However, the script takes a turn when the two sophisticates reveal their inner-monologues of woe amidst the banal party conversation. A funny, poignant and all too recognizable portrait of what we really want to say when we are making small talk.
