As a final film for NYU, Rudi Azank re-translated Samuel Beckett's original unpublished 1948 manuscript of 'En Attendant Godot' (pre-censorship and adaptation), and adapted the story to the short film genre. The style of Italian Neo-realism was chosen to fit this surreal story to a modern-day New York City film. Shot with a budget befitting the iconic bums, Godot's production was modeled after the 1953 NYC film, 'Little Fugitive.' Azank is in production to complete a feature length film of his translation.
