Blackbird (2014)

The extent of the sex that of one or two scenes of very suggestive but very delicate outercourse between teenage men/boys wearing nothing but underwear - whereby it is clear which male is "top" (active) and which male is "bottom" (passive), despite them facing each other - and several scenes of bare-chested teenage men/boys making-out including a scene with not only lip/face kissing but also brief nipple kissing. The extent of the nudity is one shot of a teenage boy's bare buttocks being exposed as his trousers come down while he is in transition from making out to having implied sex.

All of the teenage characters are in the late teen years (seventeen years old or older) and portrayed by adults (all possibly over the age of twenty years).

A teenage boy and a teenage girl kiss each other, making out, while sitting on top of a bed. They are clothed, he wearing a tank top and knickers whereas she wearing a bustier and skirt. He grasps her breast during this. Later on, they can be seen together laying in bed, under the sheets from the shoulders on down, implicitly nude. They had sex between that time.

One of the themes of the movie is that of a young grownup introducing a somewhat sheltered teenage minor to alternative lifestyles, showing how strangers regularly engage in one-night stands at a particular location, which serves as both exposition and social commentary.

No gore. The extent of the violence is a scene in which an angry, menacing, cursing, shouting woman forcefully pulls a teenage boy from a car, after having busted out the car's side window and sent several shards of glass in the teen's direction and all over him. The rest of the violence consists purely of threats and perceived threats.

There is a scene in a dimly-lit building in which a teenage boy is sexually harassed by a young man. Crawling backwards until postured on the floor and up against a wall, the victim winces and pleads for help as the advancer briefly grabs at the front pelvic area of the victim's trousers, before being interrupted.

An adult tells a teenager, "I should murder your nasty ass."

The absence of the main character's younger sister is due to her having been kidnapped. The abduction is not shown but explicitly referenced. The main character and his family struggle with the situation throughout the story.

The extent of the profanity is the utterance of words "ass" and "hell", used in hateful or at least very aggressive contexts. In particular, at one point, a woman says, "I should murder your nasty ass", "You're going to the bottom of hell."

For whatever amount of drug use there is, it does not stand out.

Apart from the one violent scene and the one sexual pseudoharassment scene, there are no frightening scenes. A couple of scenes of thematic tension and shouting between certain characters may be intense, but these scenes are not frightening.

In one short scene, a pleading teenage boy is egregiously shunned and denounced by a father-like figure who has gone from being friendly to being disgusted.

There are scenes of psychological agony, along with themes of peer pressure.
