Bar Stools (2013)

A grumpy middle-aged man falls in love with a fellow bar patron, but is completely baffled by the idea of striking up conversation with her. Having not played this game in years, he tries an arsenal of subtle advances, all while avoiding intrusion by the bar's busybody bartender. This is a light-hearted tale of old souls rejuvenated by the promise of new love. It is also a largely silent study of the role that human gesture plays in forming a primal connection with a complete stranger.
