A Matter of Tim

After the mysterious disappearance of his parents, the "normal kid" in a family of eccentric scientific geniuses discovers his father's greatest invention: a whimsical talking time machine. But when he finds out that the machine's time-traveling capabilities can only be unlocked by powering it up with positive energy, he and his rival brother must embark on a madcap race to do good in their town (which is a lot harder than they think) and learn that there is no greater good than putting another before yourself, in order to travel back in time and rescue their parents from a terrible fate at the hands of their scheming uncle, who plans to steal the amazing invention for himself.
