Sevvazhai (2012)

A little boy goes heartbroken over his schoolmate who refuses to share a banana. He is delighted and thrilled only to find a plantain sapling on his way back home, he takes the sapling plants it and nurtures it. Hebelieves that the sapling will soon grow into a big tree yielding bunches of colorful bananas and will make him feel very proud to own bananas. As the flower sprouts in the plant, his dream and hope grows with the plant, he holds the plant close to his heart, protects it from preying eyes, worries for it when it gets drenched in the rain. He makes friends, and enemies too, on the grounds or sharing the bananas that the tree will yield in future. He awaits for the day that his dad has promised to harvest the banana bunch. The drunken dad sells the banana without the knowledge of the child. The child becomes more disappointed and heartbroken when he finds that the bananas are missing, he becomes a laughing stock for his friends, and his tears can't explain the pain and disappointment.
