Once a year, dozens of thousands of Hasidim from all over the world are flocking to the town of Uman' to stay there and celebrate for four days. The same time, a museum guide, a military man, a bank clerk, an aircraft mechanic and other desperate Ukrainian men from all over the country get together to work as porters during the pilgrimage season. The porters stay in handmade tents along the roads and sleep not more then three hours a night, while the rest of time they spend carrying tons of loads to earn twice more than their usual monthly salary. They have to reach mutual understanding between themselves and with their almost "alien" clients. However, it seems that no burdens can suppress their optimism and humor.
