This documentary focuses on the historical development of the districts on the Anatolian Side of Istanbul, today's Kadiköy, which was once called Chalkedon (Halkidona in modern Greek). In this documentary, which deals with the geography, transportation routes and architectural structure of the region, detailed information is revealed about the religious organization of the Greek community, the education system, people's relations with the sea, professions, social and economic life, in other words, the social organization of the community. Additionally, the events of 6-7 September 1955 and the deportation of Greek citizens in 1964 are discussed in detail, and the gradual abandonment of the Greeks from Kadiköy is discussed. The documentary includes interviews with the Greek and Turkish residents of Kadiköy, both in Greece and Turkey, as well as archive footage and images taken today. The stories of the Greeks record the nostalgia of the past and the anxiety of the future in an Istanbul that is constantly changing.
