El Valor de la Tierra (2014)

For some, the value of the land goes beyond productivity; for others, it is an opportunity for economic advancement in which work is principally based on the transformation of the earth. Basilio is a rural worker who lives in Tanil, a settlement in the municipality of Uman in the Yucatan, in which the majority of the rural workers have already sold their homesteads. Basilio fears that his situation will soon change. This documentary shows only a fragment of the difficult circumstances which the rural workers live, and asks important questions about the future of rural zones.
