Exuvia

EXUVIA is a coming-of-age drama that explores the depths of existential sorrow. It's difficult to let go of the darker memories; shed the old and ugly skin of our past so that we might move forward. This struggle is shared one summer by the insightful, brilliant, but socially-challenged and bullied, 10-year old Hunter and his nanny, the dangerously unpredictable Melina, who struggles to deal with a childhood lost within the years of caring for and repeatedly rescuing her heroin-addicted mother. As their relationship develops beyond nanny and child, each of them begins to understand that defining the future means first dealing with the past.
