Maelstrom (2019)

MAELSTROM is an intimate, poetic-narrative about Anna, a Korean-American teenager, struggling with grief and growing up after the death of her mom. The film centers around a Korean family in the US and explores themes of grief, femininity, immigration, identity, family, and growing up. The film ends with hopeful notes that our loved ones live on in our lives and memories.
