Catherine is a French Maltese photographer who came to Malta to find out more about her father's migration story to Malta after his recent passing. Visiting the National Archives of Malta and discovering the Maltese Tunisian immigration policies of the 19th and 20th leaves her questioning if views of migration has changed at all over time. When exploring the Open Centre in Marsa, a village where her father learnt his trade, she befriends Yam, an African migrant who rides a bike to work. Her exploration into her family's migration story and those of Yam provides a powerful and thought-provoking reminder of how immigration has and will always be a critical part in shaping the past, present and future of a landscape.
