Una investigación interrumpida de R (2018)

An interrupted investigation of R' is an epistemological sci-fi detective film project. This work pretends to dialogue with the regime of Extro-Science Fiction, as was developed by Quentin Meillassoux. I understand this project as a loose adaptation of Stanislav Lem's "The Investigation". A concise synopsis of the book that I found at Goodreads: 'A young officer at Scotland Yard is assigned to investigate a puzzling and eerie case of missing-and apparently resurrected-bodies. To unravel the mystery, Lt. Gregory consults scientific, philosophical, and theological experts, who supply him with a host of theories and clues'. I will use this minimal narrative as an excuse to address some of this questions and ideas. What would happen if experimental science became impossible and cannot deploy its theories? Why is it so hard to imagine a world without the necessity of the laws of natural laws? Experience only can tell us about past and present. But there is no experience of the future. How is the relation between digital and physical models of representation? Are we facing an era of indeterminacy around what is virtual and what is real? How is the bound in between science and fiction? It seems like the science allows the construction of a storyline because stories happen in ordered worlds.
