The Heritage of France (1921)

The father and uncle must join the front. To keep the women and children safe, the American committee organizes their exodus to the South of France, and they must say goodbye to the grandfather and their neighbor, who refuse to evacuate their houses. When the family reaches its staying place, they pray for those in the trenches and for the prisoners.
