Tired of being ignored, poet Ted Jackson takes life by the horns and makes things happen. With his freshly printed book of verse in hand, he stages a grand reading. Anticipating accolades, but rejected by his girlfriend, he stops at a pub beforehand for a few beers to steel his confidence, and boast about his talent and imminent fame. But his overindulgence and delusional arrogance steers him to commit a desperate, ironic act that clearly emphasizes he's not the stellar writer he claims to be.
