The faucet is on, drips of blood fall down in an even pace into the sink. Liam is standing in the bathroom, cleaning his cheek, still covered in blood. He has locked himself in the toilets. On the other side of the door, Annie, his mother tries to communicate with her son, feeling guilty and trying to apologize. Liam is very hurt by what happened and wants her to explain to him why she is always drinking. She speaks about what she has been through in her life and eventually, brings out a memory from Liam's childhood, which makes him open the door, at last.
