This film offers a candid look into the fascinating and under explored subculture of the Modern Viking. It covers the annual Slavs and Vikings Festival in Wolin, Poland, where participants travel from all over the world. The festival centers around three days of battles where over 600 warriors fight competitively with steel weapons. Mainly shot by a one man crew over an 8 year period, the film features interviews that capture a few distinct and diverse personalities from the brotherhood: a Muslim Viking, a Polish historian/author and an English blacksmith.
