Creek of Eden is a 15-minute dramatic short film that takes place in Holcomb Valley during the late 1800's. The film opens on two brothers, Lawrence and Frank Fischer, searching for gold in a creek. Having inherited their father's cabin, they mean to continue his quest for riches and make a name for their family. Wives, Martha and Annemarie, are forced to cope with their husbands' antics and the harsh reality of life on the frontier. Despite dilapidated conditions, the family remains resilient and hopeful that they're fate will turn around. Eventually, however, hope turns to anguish as rations twindle, tempers run high and gold remains elusive. Just as the family is on the brink of implosion, an amateur gold miner and his wife arrive. With their arrival, Jayce and Helga, become a new emotional outlet for the family and the story begins to unfold. Blood may be thicker than water, but it's still thinner than gold.
