Project Duterte (2017)

In 2016, Rodrigo Duterte was elected president of the Philippines. He's promised to crack down on crime and infamously urged citizens to kill drug addicts. Since his term began, it's alleged that numerous extrajudicial executions of supposed drug dealers have been carried out. A dramatic increase in brutal street executions coincided with the start of "Project Duterte", the police programme aimed at "Drug Use and Trafficking Elimination thru Rehabilitation, Training and Enforcement", many Filipinos claim they have lost all trust in the country's law enforcement.
