Ikan Emas (1965)

This movie tells the story of a girl named Kintan. His mother had died, and his father had married another woman with whom he had a daughter. Kintan is often abused by his mother and step-sister, Mak Kiambang and Kiambang when his father is away. One day, when Kintan followed his father fishing, his father fell into the pond. His father had drowned and turned into a goldfish. Kintan took the goldfish home and kept it. Unfortunately Mak Kiambang and Kiambang have caught and killed the goldfish. Kintan felt so sad and buried the goldfish in one place. Once again, a strange incident occurred when the place where the goldfish was planted was overgrown with a shady golden tree. One day, when Kintan was singing under the golden tree, his singing was heard by the Sultan who was then attracted to Kintan's beauty.
