Andrew - a screenwriter, struggles with writer's block. Trying to express his own breakup through his writing he faces the difficulty of finding his own self-worth, and by extension that of the character he writes. He shows us the story of a couple, Chloe and Sam who are no longer in sync with their relationship. Sam loves her but is increasingly distant whereas Chloe tries but has long fallen out of love with Sam and knows she needs to move on. Laying in bed together they confront their relationship but writer Andrew struggles to find the words to say - as he struggled when it happened to him and has yet to come to terms with this. Andrew talks through these difficulties with Charles - a visualisation of his inner voice. Emma - a dance choreographer, rehearses her dance routine. As Emma rehearses her choreography and we alternate between her and her visualisation of the concept as we see her dance tell the story, through its own medium, of two lovers - first a fiery passion between them pushing back and forth then the two dancing in sync as their relationship blossoms. Tom - a student writer, sits through a tutorial session with his lecturer as he finds formats and conventions of writing difficult to come to terms with. He is frustrated with the fine line between being subtextual and not properly expressing his ideas enough to the point it is missed by those who read it - even if it is vivid in his own imagination. Debating this with his lecturer, Tom is advised to 'write what he knows' and make the story a personal one. In the end, the storytellers paths intertwine, and we see how not alone we really are in this interconnected world.
