I Miss The War is a comedy/drama about three very different sisters Annie, Charlotte and Stella who reunite on the anniversary of their late mothers death. It's been nine years now since the girl's wild larger then life mother ended her life. This terrible event caused a massive rift in all their lives and still causes ripples to this very day. Over time the girls have drifted apart from each other. The only time they spend together is once a year, on their mother's anniversary. The aim is not to mourn her death but to celebrate her life. However, it doesn't take long to see that there isn't much worth celebrating. Impulsive, foul mouthed Annie is struggling to make ends meet and is facing the grim possibility that she just doesn't have what it takes to follow her dreams as an actor. Older, successful sister Charlotte appears to have it all but is secretly struggling to hide the loneliness anger and self-loathing that is bubbling underneath, turning to drugs to numb the pain. Meanwhile, free spirit Stella has just arrived back in the country after spending three years travelling overseas. She arrives broke, homeless and unemployed with a new husband on her arm twice her age. Before they know it old skeletons, long thought buried, come out of the closet and all hell breaks loose. The war has begun and nobody is going to walk away unscathed.
