Garçons Manqués (2008)

Imane is 15 year old and lives with her family in the housing statement "Les Bosquets" in the suburb "Montfermeil", at the edge of Paris - the place where the riots started in October 2005. The football ground is a central place for the citizens of "Les Bosquets", where everyday life takes place. Imane plays soccer and has the reputation to be a "garçon manqué" - a tom boy. She would like to become a police woman to show that Arabs are not merely troublemakers. But when the riots break out again, she comes to terms with her identity.
