The Groves (2019)

A girl is entrailed by vines that penetrate into her arm. She breaks away and runs but has to pull out a root that has buried itself in her arm.

A man is seen dead on the ground. In another shot his eyes are looking up at a girl. When she looks again, he is facing away.

A human-like creature shows up looking threatening. It chases her from a building back to the path. The girl gets a piece of wood to use in self-defense.

A girl is seen struggling and twitching in a hospital bed. A man and woman are trying to subdue her and call for a doctor. The doctor comes in and gives her a sedative. She is later seen resting with her eyes open.

A nurse is shown a file on the girl who was given the injection. She reads newspaper clippings about what happened that led to the girl's breakdown.

A doctor gives an injection to calm down a squirming girl in a hospital bed. It is a sedative.

One frightening sequence involves a girl who is separated from her boyfriend. She hears noises and then sees a human-like creature who threatens and chases her.

A girl falls on a wooden pathway and is enthralled by vines that drill into her arm. Later she sees a large rash on her abdomen.

Fleeing from the demon, the girl locks herself in a room. She hears the voice of her boyfriend outside the door, urging her to let him in. She realizes that it is not really him.
