Tamima Hafez is an Egyptian-German actress who resides in Cairo, Egypt. She earned her Bachelor's degree at the American University in Cairo, studying Theatre with a specification in Acting. On top of that, she has taken several acting workshops in Egypt and abroad such as a 2-month Shakespeare acting course at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) as well as attended the Berlin FIND Theatre Festival which provided workshops in the following: Meisner with Mike Bernardin, Grotowski with Grazyna Zylag and many other movement classes. In Egypt, she's taken workshops with the proclaimed acting coaches Gerald James, Marwa Gabriel and Nadim. As for Tamima's roles, she has explored a large range of different characters during her Theatre studies such as playing Electra in "Electra", Martha in "Spring Awakening", Mother- Jacques in "The Future is in Eggs", and many more. When it comes to film and television, Tamima was cast as Salma in "Counterattack", a Ramadan series that streamed in 2021. In 2022, she played the role of Amina in "Dangerous Curve", streaming on Shahid. On top of that, Tamima has also taken part in many short films and ads such as "Zaeri", "Dirty Cookie", "Special Attention", and more. Tamima's additional skills include singing, playing the piano and guitar, stage combat, contemporary dance, ballet, accents (British, German, French), and she is fluent in English, Arabic and German, and speaks a bit of French (basics).
