Jamaicia James (born September 4) is an American actress and model. James was first recognized for her portrayal of Monique in Escapee in 2023. James was born September 4 in Chicago, Illinois, and was raised in Orlando, Florida She is of mixed heritage - Mauritian and Jamaican. She attended Florida international university 2021-2022. Her mother is a Orthodontist. She has 5 other siblings. James left home for college at age 17 after receiving a scholarship to run track at the University of Charleston. After becoming a two time 400m champion, James transferred to Marshall university to compete at a higher division. However, upon arrival James fell into modeling and began modeling part time. She signed a one year modeling contract in London, UK and moved overseas. Modeling was not a job that James intended to do for long. Eventually, she decided that she wanted to pursue acting and enrolled in acting courses at Pinewood studios in Iver heath, United kingdom. James has modelled for campaigns with companies such as Urban Outfitters, Saie beauty, Dorothy Perkins and Ilia beauty.
