Arjun Manilal

Arjun is an Indian actor and ad film producer known for his work in the film industry. Born and raised in Anchal, Kollam, Kerala, Arjun developed a passion for entertaining people at the age of 12, when he watched his cousin perform on stage. However, he had never had the chance to perform himself until he was selected to be part of a school annual day function's tableau, despite not knowing what it was at the time. The following year, Arjun failed to get on stage for a dance performance, but this setback only fueled his determination to perform and succeed in the future. In college he met a dancer friend and decided to perform for annual day celebration. The performance was a hit and they eventually started a dance crew and got opportunities to perform in different places. One day his aunt asked him why can't you give it a try for acting, watching him narrate stories in family circles. That's the first time he thought of giving acting a try but pretty aware it's hard to get into movies without a single movie connection. He decided to make connections through Facebook, where he randomly started adding film crew members, and texting them. This didn't work as planned. Years later, while studying for CMA in Kochi, Arjun saw a casting call for the movie Premam by director Alphonse Puthren on Facebook. He sent his pictures to the casting agent and got his first ever audition, but unfortunately did not get selected. Undeterred, he went on to attend eight more auditions before moving to Bangalore in search of a job. After working for six months in an audit firm, Arjun decided to pursue acting full-time and reached out to family friend and ad film director Praveen for advice. Praveen suggested that Arjun start with ad production to gain experience and connections in the film industry, and referred him to Miramar Films, where he worked as an intern. In 2018, Arjun saw a poster for a casting call for the movie Moonwalk and decided to give it a shot. After the audition, he finally got selected for the supporting role in the film. This marked the beginning of his career as an actor and producer, and he has since been seeking more opportunities to showcase his talent.
