Dex Desjardins

A native of Albany, NY, Minister Dex Desjardins joined The Satanic Temple (TST) in July 2015. In February 2018, he co-founded TST Albany Chapter (now, TST Albany Congregation). He served as Chapter Head, followed by a brief period serving as the Chapter's Media Liaison. He was appointed to TST's senior advisory body, the International Council, in March 2020. Dex was a researcher, lesson writer, test developer, and lesson presenter for TST's ordination program. In November 2020, he was recruited into the newly-formed Ordination Council to help with the program's further development and administration. He was officially ordained by TST's Satanic Ministry as a Minister of Satan on March 25, 2021. He has performed marriages in upstate New York and in New Jersey. In July 2022, Dex was appointed as a Media Relations Specialist for TST, granting him the authority to speak on behalf of The Satanic Temple to news outlets and other media platforms and organizations. In 2023, he was named Media Director for TST SatanCon 2023 and was that event's official media spokesperson. Dex frequently works with high school and college students who are researching Satanism or TST, gives classroom presentations, assists with academic papers, had has given multiple public speaking engagements and podcast and news media interviews - frequently with his partner, Minister Chalice Blythe. He was also featured in the books "Speak of the Devil: How The Satanic Temple is Changing the Way We Talk about Religion" by Professor Joseph Laycock and "Compassionate Satanism: An Introduction to Modern Satanic Practice" by Minister Lilith Starr.
