Rochelle Thevasagayam is a Sri Lankan-Canadian singer, actor, and creator from Scarborough, Ontario. Rochelle is a graduate of the theatre and drama studies program at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College. During her time with TDS, Rochelle had the honour of being in Theatre Erindale's first virtual season. With Theatre Erindale, she played Kitty in Anna Karenina (dir Lisa Karen Cox) and Lady Alexandra Wengrave in The Roaring Girl (dir. Samantha Wilson). Rochelle has played Cilissa in The Oresteia (dir. Tyler J. Seguin) and collaboratively created The Places We Are (dir. Rob Kempson, a show that Rochelle holds dear to her heart. After finishing her education, Rochelle broke through many aspects of the industry. Rochelle found herself on camera, behind a microphone, on set and writing her first play with the help of Tarragon Theatre. In the past, Rochelle has performed in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, South Korea, Toronto, and more. Inspired by her immigrant family, Rochelle's mantra, "To share untold stories on stage and on-camera" was born.
