-Jean-Philippe Cipriani studied journalism at the Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada). In 2000, he helped found the journal "L'Esprit simple" in the Communications department. In 2001, he took part in a journalism internship with the daily Le Soleil, where he subsequently worked for several months. He joined Radio-Canada in October 2001, first as a reporter for the sports website, then for the news website. He was desk editor for the 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008 Olympic Games. He also piloted special coverage of Haiti, the Iraq war, budgets and federal and provincial elections. In 2005, he became webmaster and techno columnist for "RDI Matin le week-end". After a summer internship in the newsroom, he worked for a few months in Trois-Rivières, covering the Hérouxville affair. In 2007, he returned to Montreal to become a radio and TV reporter, covering sports, then the arts, and finally the economy. He is also sporadically responsible for press reviews and news bulletins, as well as assigning foreign correspondents to Module international. At the same time, he contributed to various publications such as Urbania, La Presse and "Le Trente". In 2010, he was recruited as scriptwriter for the documentary series "Au nom du sport", which explored the other side of the coin in competitive sport. He also joined the team behind "Le droit de savoir", a program on the legal world broadcast on Télé-Québec and Canal Savoir. In 2011, he became a literary columnist on the program "Plus on est de fous, plus on lit", where he discusses current affairs as seen through the eyes of books. In January 2012, he left the Radio-Canada newsroom to become head of news at Huffington Post Québec. His departure coincides with that of three other supernumerary newsroom journalists. He also became a columnist on the comedy show "La soirée est (encore) jeune", hosted by Jean-Philippe Wauthier. He left the Huffington Post Québec in November 2012 to pursue documentary projects at Télé-Québec. He also becomes a blogger at MSN Québec for "La tête dans la une". In 2013, he was part of the team on Radio-Canada Première's comedy show "Les Bronzés font de la radio". In 2014, he will be a reporter on the Télé-Québec program "Ça vaut le coût", hosted by Marie-Soleil Michon. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Fédération professionnelle des journalistes du Québec from 2003 to 2005. Speaker at the Trudeau Foundation symposium on "Media and the Common Good", 2012. He was also a speaker at the "Colloque sur la sécurité publique" in 2010, and at the Trudeau Foundation's "Media and the Common Good" symposium in 2012. He was a member of the jury for the 60th Canadian Journalism Awards in 2009, the Judith-Jasmin Award in 2012 and the Canadian Magazine Award in 2013.
