Tomas Kolesnichenko is a Soviet and Russian international journalist. Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation. In 1954 he graduated from the Faculty of History of Moscow State University and the Higher Diplomatic School of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He worked for the newspaper Pravda for over thirty years. First as a correspondent, then as an editor of the international department and a political commentator. Author of essays and reports from the countries of Central and Southern Africa, Great Britain, and the USA. He appeared on TV and was one of the hosts of the popular Soviet television program "International Panorama". Since 1991 Tomas Kolesnichenko worked at ITAR-TASS. His work in the media was recognized with state awards. A man of extraordinary intelligence and organizational skills, Tomas Kolesnichenko was in demand not only in journalism. In 1999 - Advisor to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Primakov. Since 2001 - Director of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. Largely thanks to him, the chamber's activities have received growing recognition both in business circles and among the Russian public.
