-Marie-Annick Boisvert completed a bachelor's and master's degree in sociology at UQAM. She then worked for 5 years in communications - advertising, public relations, promotion - until she realized that event organization was what really turned her on and what she knew best. She founded her company, MARIANIK, in 2000. At the time, there weren't many companies specializing in this field. She was one of the first to offer event organization services. Thanks to such daring clients as Cirque du Soleil, Air Transat, TVA Films, Cascades, Ubisoft, Oakley, Reebok, Groupe Rozon and VrakTV, she was able to deploy all her talent and share her madness. Over the years, jelle has positioned herself as a leader in the field thanks to the quality of her events, and she has established a credibility and excellent reputation in the industry. Over the past 10 years, she has created numerous events, as well as well-known brands such as "Festival Arcadia", "Soirées des Béliers", "Breast Yourself", and "Apéritif à la française". In collaboration with Agence Sopexa, "Apéritif à la française" has become one of the most popular events in Montreal (Canada). In 2008, the 1,500 $70 tickets sold out in 3 days. In 2009, they sold out in 15 minutes! In 2004, she felt the need to put her talent to work for a cause. She chose the fight against breast cancer. She created the event 'Breast Yourself La formule: 500 filles, 50 gars. It's a feel-good party, one of the most popular fund-raising events in Montreal, and has sold out every year. In 6 years, she has donated over $130,000 to the Sérénité program of the Fondation Québécoise du Cancer du Sein. Still in 2004, she's looking to use her creativity to take on new challenges. With Ubisoft as a client, and seeing the meteoric expansion of this industry in Montreal and around the world, she began researching and focus-grouping in order to test what was being done as events in this field. She heard about big industry shows like E3, but nothing for the general public, so she decided to create a mini E3 for the general public in Montreal. A year later, the Arcadia Festival was born, in partnership with François Décarie. She piloted this magnificent event in 2005 and 2006, then left because being a producer wasn't her cup of tea. In 2006, the Jeune Chambre de Commerce de Montréal honored her with the Arista award for "young self-employed worker in Quebec". Despite her passion for events, after 10 years she felt she'd come full circle. Being passionate about social media, she decided to make a major 2.0 shift in 2009, becoming a social media strategist. A forerunner in event management in 2000, she is still innovating, becoming one of the first to offer such a service in 2010. She also launched her blog marianik.com that same year. It's all about events, social media, travel and slice of life. In August 2012, a new career opened up for her as a cultural columnist for Radio X Montréal. She enjoyed the experience, but the pace of life wasn't for her. So, in May 2013, she returned to her first love: public relations at Bleublancrouge, where she was Vice-President of Public Relations & Social Media. Full circle! In 2013, she was honored by the Appolo Agency as a "Woman in Business" along with 13 other women. In August 2014, François Morency asked her to return to radio (Énergie), doing a weekly column on "what to do on the weekend". This suited her perfectly, and that's how she came back to radio. Her contract ended in August 2015, but she still sporadically collaborates on shows at Énergie, CJAD and 98.5 on various subjects. However, wanting to share her favorites, she decided in 2016 to leave my Youtube channel. In January 2014, the entrepreneur in her needed to stand on her own two feet. So here she is again, working for me as a communications, marketing and public relations consultant!
