I was born and raised in NYC's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, a rough blue collar place with lots of drinking and fighting. I went to school with some of the members of the so-called "Westies" gang. We never called them that. You just mentioned their names and everybody knew who and what you were talking about. We never said we were from Hell's Kitchen either. We just said West Side if anybody asked. I was from 47th Street and 10th Avenue. That's all you had to say. I attended Catholic schools K through 12, starting with Sacred Heart Grammar School, and then Power Memorial Academy High School, best remembered for former student Kareem Abdul Jabbar, who was known as Lew Alcindor back then. Actor Bruno Kirby also attended Power Memorial. I was a radio announcer for 35 years, retiring from that in 2014. Since then I have worked as a background actor in films and television. I often play a cop, because I have that mean Irish cop face. I studied at the Stella Adler School of Acting. I have done stage work Off Broadway and Off-Off Broadway. I am also a screenwriter. I have five unsold scripts if anybody's interested. I authored a book about my great uncle who survived the sinking of Titanic. The book is titled "In Search of Great Uncle Pat: Titanic Survivor," and it's available on Amazon. I do lots of character voices and celebrity imitations. My favorite voice to do is that of Christopher Walken. I would love to get a speaking part. I had one line in the film, "Trial of the Chicago Seven," where I play a bartender. My line is "The Buckeye State!," said in a derisive tone as we watch the 1968 Democratic Convention on TV in Chicago. I didn't get a credit for it because it was classified as an "omni." My first SAG job was the film, "Hustlers" starring Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu. In the scene, I got to sit on a bar stool between J-Lo and Constance. It was worth the three thousand dollars to join SAG. I have also appeared on Saturday Night Live.
