Shweta Rohira

Shweta Rohira (born Shweta Rohira, 24 September) is an Indian actress, painter, writer, model and a social media influencer. She began her acting career with a short film Parineeti (2018) directed by Sunil Thadani but she gained recognition playing the lead in one of the most acclaimed play "That's My Girl" in 2018. As an artist she is known for her initiative "Colour India, Clean India" which started with a thought to beautify the Indian Police Stations. Her first book "Filmy Chick" published in 2018 received overwhelming reviews. Shweta has modelled for many fashion brands like Boy London, Aishpara, Indrayani, Tasta, Jellyfish studio, Ritus Secondskin etc. After her debut in short film Parineeti in 2018, she played a lead in Hinglish play "That's My Girl" (2018) written and directed by veteran theatre personality Bharat Dabholkar. Her performance was widely appreciated by many actors and critics like Jackie Shroff, Javed Jafferi, veteran actress Asha Parekh, Wahida Rahman etc. Wahidaji loved Shweta's performance and said, "Shweta is a chota pataka and bada dhamaka", Taran Adarsh praised Rohira's performance; he wrote on his twitter, "Shweta Rohira makes a fantastic debut on stage. Her confidence catches you unaware." Reza Noorani from Times of India wrote, "It's Shweta Rohira though who is the surprise package here. Cast perfectly, she does a credible job of acting alongside a veteran like Ananth." Anupama Chandra from The free press Journal wrote in her review, "The young actress is fresh-faced, sincere and confident, riding the audience laughter and appreciation with abandon to match the two seasoned actors." Shweta was approached to play a 19 year old girl in "That's My Girl" after she lost 25 kilos of weight. Her next short film "Spotless" opposite singer Sonu Nigam and directed by Saurabh M. Pandey was selected for several National and International film festivals and received rave reviews from the critics and the film goers. In 2019, she did a short film "Break the Shackles" for Madame Brand directed by Kushal Srivastava which was released in YouTube and gained a lot of appreciation for its subject based on Dowry System in India. Rohira's latest release was the series of short film "Girl Talk" directed by Aneeta Patel. Shweta is currently doing a Hindi play called "Blind Date" along with Television actor Karan Sharma and RJ Pritam Singh.
