Sam Coates is an English broadcast journalist. He is the deputy political editor for Sky News and regularly appears on many of the network's live shows, including Sky News Tonight (2014), Kay Burley @Breakfast (2019) and Sky News at 10 (2006). Previously, Coates worked as a reporter for The Times between 2000 and 2019, presented BBC Radio 4's "Week in Westminster", and appeared as a newspaper reviewer on both Politics Live (2018) and "The Andrew Marr Show".
