Eric Fisher is a true product of Oakland, California. Like his hometown, he exudes an intense passion for creativity and artistic expression. At a young age, Eric aspired to be in the music industry. While studying Mass Communications in college, Eric turned his attentions toward a radio career and hustled his way into an internship at 106 KMEL. It was there that Eric created his own position as the station's videographer and began to develop his eye for visual expression and narrative storytelling. Eric eventually decided to embark on a filmmaking career after he was part of a team that was nominated for an Emmy award. The recognition compelled him to work even harder to create his own video projects. Throughout the years, Eric has spent countless hours watching his favorite films and taking notes as a student of the craft. He especially analyzed films from some of his favorite directors, such as John Singleton, F. Gary Gray, Rick Famuyiwa and the highly-esteemed fellow Oakland native, Ryan Coogler. As an emerging filmmaker, Eric now aims to tell stories that reflect the laughter, love and challenges of the people. His debut short film "Inseparable" tackles the complexities of mental health in the urban community. He continues to express himself through filmmaking and looks forward to sharing many more stories of the people.
