He may be a down to earth family man, but Rob Wood is an up and coming film, television and stage star actor. His recent credit include Vanguard Studios "Winner and Best Short Real to Reel Film" in the Gentleman Jack: Real to Reel Film Competition "Static", which is based on DC Comics Hero Static. Robert DeLun Wood was born and raised in the rough cities of Centreville and East St Louis (City of Champions), Illinois, to Elenora Wood (Robinson) a nurse, and Stephen Wood Sr., a truck driver. With Wood's parents having strong faith in God, they taught their children to also have faith and know that all things are possible through God. Wood has had the pleasure of working with talented directors, producers and writers such as David Kirkman, Elizabeth Breed Penny, Richard Ulrich, Corey Piper, Marty K. Casey, Bruce Cunningham Jr. (Just to name a few). Even though new to the scene, Wood has appeared in a bevy of stage plays, and short films. He says one of his goals is to (with hard work and dedication) become nominated and win an Oscar. Growing up being introduced to acting at an early age Wood knew that acting was what he wanted to do. He would always sign up for the local annual Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas school and church plays, but when he was 10, Wood met his mentor's (Michael Lennix) actor brother, Harry J. Lennix (Five Heartbeats, The Matrix Reloaded, Love and Basketball, Man of Steel, Ocsar winning film "Ray" and a host of other successful films). Wood said to Lennix, "I want to be an actor when I grow up". Lennix looked Wood in the eye and replied, "And you can".
