Born on 2nd January, 1982 in West Bengal, India, Krishnendu Adhikari is an Indian actor who primarily works in Bengali theatre and films. He is known for his work in Riingo Banerjee's The Senapatis Vol-1 (2019), Buddhadev Dasgupta's Tope - The Bait (2016) and Birsa Dasgupta's One (2017). He has also worked in numerous acclaimed theatre productions and independent short films since his debut as an actor in 2012. His notable works in Bengali theatre include Aagshuddhi (2016), Code Red (2017), Mrityusangbad (2018), and Jara Jege Thake (2018). He co-founded the Kolkata-based performance collective Behala Project Prometheus in 2016, and is dedicated towards revitalizing political and movement-based theatre in India.
