Yasmijn Nicolle

Yasmijn Nicolle is a Montreal and Toronto based actor, writer, producer, and director. She is an alumna of Dawson College's Professional Theatre Program, from which she graduated in 2016 with honours. She continued her studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Her recent mentorships include: Black Theatre Workshop YouthWorks Program, Black Women Film!, OYA Emerging Filmmakers Program, and ReelWorld's E20 Program (2020). In 2017, Yasmijn founded her very own production company, Ebony Magic Productions. Since the launch of her company, she co-wrote, produced, and directed her first film, Tangle in which she received the "First Time Filmmaker Award". Yasmijn is passionate about creating work from the perspective of underrepresented artists.
