Albert Negrete

Albert Negrete was born in Barcelona on November 7th 1994. Oldest of five siblings, he grew up in the Mediterranean city, where he got his Bachelor in Journalism in June 2016. Of those four years of college, he spent one year in Utrecht, the Netherlands, where he studied International Communication and Media at Hogeschool Utrecht and had his first production experiences collaborating with the TV3-Televisió de Catalunya show "Generació Selfie" and producing a weekly segment for a local radio show in Barcelona called "Difícil de parir" on 7deRàdio. Back in Barcelona, he spent his last year of college working at the political news department at Catalunya Ràdio, where he got his first exposure to first line politic. That would reflect on all the work he produced after that, with a clear political accent on everything he creates. After graduating in 2016, he moved to Brooklyn, NY, and got a Master of Fine Arts in TV Production at CUNY Brooklyn College. At Brooklyn College, he conceived "Against The Current" and "Concordia" as class projects, and got a distribution deal for them in 2018 to stream them on Amazon Prime Videos. In May 2018, he started the production company "The Angle Studio" with three other classmates and began to create content under that brand soon after. Since then, Albert Negrete has produced content for Social Media news outlets like Act TV and Now This, German TV stations ProSieben and Sat1 and some independent content, including Meïa's music video "Under the sky of your tough love".
