Shamanique N Caper

Shamanique Nicole Caper was born in the gritty city of Gary, Indiana, and raised in Dorie Miller House Complex. The middle child, but oldest daughter of a single mother who made the best with what the city, once called the " Murder Capital" of the world for its' high crime and murder rate had to offer. Shamanique attended Charles R. Drew Elementary School where a teacher noticed that she excelled in her studies and recommended her for advancement into a gifted program the school just started. After placement into the program, Shamanique was exposed to visual arts where she noticed she was good at art, acting, and executing performances and that's when the passion began. Play after play, she performed the lead roles and began to discover writing. In high school she took Broadcast and Business as part of advanced studies where she excelled in both, starting a radio show and part-time craft business. Shamanique enter the medical field where she worked for 11 years before returning back to her first passion of acting and writing in August of 2018.
