Emily Redden was born and raised in Louisville, KY. She comes from a family of singers and has performed in concerts and shows for most of her life. At age 11 she was cast on her first professional gig as the title role in "Annie" with the Stephen Foster Drama Association (SFDA) in Bardstown, KY. After that, Emily went on to be in numerous other professional and school productions including "Ragtime" with University of Kentucky Opera Theater (UKOT), "Seussical the Musical" (SFDA), "Beauty and the Beast" (SFDA), "La Traviata" (UKOT), and many more. In 2017, Emily began gaining experience in the world of film while simultaneously completing a performance degree. After graduating with a BM in Voice Performance from the University of Kentucky in 2019, she moved to Atlanta, GA to continue pursuing a career in film. She had 9 thrilling months of development until COVID shut everything down in 2020. She spent her time in quarantine expanding her skill set. She worked tirelessly for months as executive producer on the documentary "Shades of Struggle", which was completed in March 2021. Some of Emily's other skills and interests include German culture and language, gymnastics, aerial silks, and outdoor activities. She studied German for two years in school and even completed a 6-week summer program in Graz, Austria in 2016. She has taken many movement/dance classes throughout high school and college and began training in aerial silks in 2019. It also goes without saying that she can do a fair amount of acrobatic floor work including cartwheels, handstands, back-bends, flips, etc. Emily competed as a gymnast for 8 years and coached for 2 more after retiring in high school. She still loves the sport and has retained some of her skills and most of her knowledge from her 10 years spent in the gym. This has molded her work-ethic, attitude, and mental and physical toughness.
