Johanna Fogle graduated summa cum laude from Hofstra University's Lawrence Herbert School of Communication in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Video, Television, and Film. She earned the distinctive title "Senior of the Year" for the Video, Television, and Film department. Johanna focused her education on sharpening her skills as a producer and first assistant director, her chosen fields of interest. The position of Administrative Assistant (to Bill Jennings) for Hofstra's film department enabled Johanna to coordinate events and connect with most students and faculty in the department. With her connections and strong skill base, Johanna produced over 40 films during her four years at Hofstra. During her senior year, Johanna had the opportunity to write and direct her own film "Before I Break", based on personal life experiences. Through this project, Johanna discovered a passion for directing as well. Johanna has a particular interest in French films and psychological thrillers. She is inspired by the works of directors Ingmar Bergman, Wim Wenders, Stanley Kubrick, Francis Ford Coppola, Agnes Varda, and Pedro Almodóvar.
